The Twentieth Wife by Indu Sundaresan

Currently I am reading " The Twentieth Wife by Indu Sundaresan "

It is one of the outstanding novels for this year, and even I ever read. The writer is talking the reader through a critical history period in India involving an amazing relationships and events that happened during that period.

I will make sure to come back with my feedback after finish reading, but I couldn’t help it not to mention the book and the marvels time I am spending reading this novel.

It is totally different !

I am certainly sure that there are many other who feel the same as I do about Eid days ! And Ya it finished and it finished so quickly and so strange also !

I definitely not talking about having a break or a holiday as some might think, it is about the feeling of Eid ! It doesn’t feel like Eid anymore !

I still remember how does it feel when I was little kid and the enjoyment that we used to had me and my siblings and the relative kids. The new clothes, the toys and playing, the picnics to parks, and the special laugh that I totally miss it now.

It was totally totally different.

Even the kids these days, I don’t see the same pleasure on their faces as it was in the old days ! But still they are better than us.

Maybe that’s way they keep saying, Eid is for kids only :)

Done with my exams

I am done with my final exams this week.

In fact it wasn’t that easy, even thought it was only 5 questions per each exam worth 10 marks each. But the thing is that each question need at least 2 – 3 pages answering ! That was too much for someone like me who is using my laptop for all my typing to write using my pen for 3 hours !

It was really tragedy :(

Anyway, I hope Inshallah that I did well in them and Inshallah I will get a good marks, at least as a reward from the hours that I spend writing

So, this week I am planning to enjoy myself little bit. I might go to movies, go out with my friends and mostly spend some quality time reading :)

Losing someone close

It is not easy to lose someone so close to you as a brother. Inshallah I will never go through such experience, which am sure will be something I will never recover from because I am so so attached to my siblings and Inshallah Allah will save them to me.

I went today to visit a colleague, who lost her elder brother, and I was really sorry for her.

He is now with his mother in Allah care Inshallah

May Allah bless his soul and may Allah help his family Inshallah.

Exam Break !

It is exams time :( , as I am having my final exams next week. Hopefully Inshallah I will do well and have good marks, which mean I will finish 5 subjects by this semester and I will remain with 3 more to finish my master degree Inshallah by summer.

So, I might not update my blog for the next 10 days.

Wish me luck, I need it.

American Gangster (2007)

I watched this movie last weekend, and it is one of the outstanding movies for this year.

2 of the great actors that I love watching and they are great in this movies, especially Denzel Washington such an amazing actor that but his special touch in any movie he works in.

Based on the life of drug-kingpin-turned-informant, Frank Lucas, who grew up in segregated North Carolina where he watched as his cousin was shot by the Klan for looking at a white girl. He eventually made his way to Harlem where he became a heroin kingpin by traveling to Asia's Golden Triangle to make connections, shipping heroin back to the US in the coffins of soldiers killed in Vietnam. He soon made upwards of one million dollars a day in drug sales. Lucas was shadowed by lawman, Richie Roberts, who finally helped bring the kingpin to justice. The two then worked together to expose the crooked cops and foreign nationals who made importing heroin so easy.

The movie wasn't about someone in specific as they show his life, it was more about viewing a situation at that period of time, talking about certain cases.

I liked the story line , even though sometimes it was very quickly and missing some details but it was a great showDenzel Washington was really great, and even that he and Russell Crowe didn’t face a lot but still the parts they faced in the movie was good and short in details ! The movie over all is great.

RAK Airways

It was there long time ago, and worked for few years in great performance and then just dead !!!
I personally didn’t know the reasons for that, and many will get surprised to know that we in Ras Al Khaimah didn’t have an airport !!! But yes we didn’t have an airport for so long time now !!!
