Every day in the morning I see that newspaper guy standing beside the road selling newspapers and magazines on the road to the colleges which make it a good selling point for him – most of the time I do buy from him for the sake of benefiting him.
He stands there from around 7:30 AM till around 2:30 PM everyday - I admire him having to do this job everyday for a sum of money that won’t even be enough for him for a day as I guess he is working with a daily wage !
For few days ago I didn’t see him in his spot and I was so surprised !
When I saw him after 4 days I asked him and he was sick and couldn’t come to work – I was really so sad for him.
It always make me think how much I have to thank Allah for all what I have and never ever think that I have less than what I deserve – in fact I have more than I deserve

hi there.. btw, they banned the newspaper salesmen in dubai many years ago.. and i believe this is everywhere else in the uae.. i wonder where did u catch this newspaper guy!
i'd love to go and buy papers from him... i hated it when they banned them coz i honestly thought they were such hard workers and deserved the best!
bring back the newspaperman!
Alhamdullah, we tend to forget to be thankful.. yet alhamdullah for remembering!
I haven't seen any of them in any of my visits to UAE. I guess he is the last survivor.
